We strive to ensure that our clients have to pay as little tax as possible. At the same time, the company’s philosophy is that everything we are involved with shall be above board and legal. We also work closely with accountants, business lawyers and insurance brokers. The small size of our specialist company allows us a high degree of flexibility. We are free to work with whom we wish.

We have clients all over the world. Many of them we never see. In such cases we work with telephone and e-mail only.

Fees are normally charged according the time accrued. It is also possible to enter into specific agreements in advance in regard to other bases for paying for our services.

Ove Grip

Ove has been active in the tax administration field for 37 years since 1971 – first with the Gävleborg County Administrative Board and then with the regional tax authorities in the same district. Ove has a law degree and an MSc in political science.

Ove started his career as an executive officer in the offices of the former County Tax Court in the County of Gävleborg. After gaining experience here for a few years he moved on in 1973 to the assessment unit (which later became the appeals section) of the County Administrative Board’s taxation department. From 1974 Ove was involved in tax litigation, first as a tax inspector and progressing subsequently to the position of senior inspector and was involved with judicial proceedings in the county administrative court, the administrative court of appeal and the Swedish Supreme Administrative Court. He also appeared for the state in cases concerning liability for tax in various county courts and he also acted as a public legal representative in attachment cases. In his capacity as a general legal representative, he was able to apply to the county court for judgement in regard to attachments.

In connection with the introduction of the Swedish Enforcement Act in 1994, Ove took part in a two-stage legal professional training course on enforcement measures and subsequently conducted the training of his colleagues in regard to the application of this field of law. Ove was appointed a tax investigation leader in accordance with the law and fulfilled this role up to the time of his retirement from the tax authority.

After a certain degree of specialisation in cases concerning international tax and the taxation of trusts and non-profit organisations, Ove was appointed, after transferring in 1999 to the legal department of the Tax Authority in Gävle (the legal departments replaced in principle the appeals sections), as a specialist in these fields.

At the legal department, Ove continued as an authorised inspector of taxes to act as litigator in specific cases. After being appointed by the Swedish National Tax Board, he represented the Board in a number of cases in the Swedish Supreme Administrative Court. Ove continued in the role of consultant at the legal department and provided various forms of assistance to staff involved in operative tax matters. In providing assistance to the National Tax Board’s service department, Ove answered indirectly enquiries both from the general public and from a wide variety of companies. Ove has gained substantial experience from his long career in conducting various types of legal examinations within the taxation field.

For nearly all his career in taxation, Ove was involved in the exchange of information on tax issues with other countries.

Ove has held a number of senior management positions during his career. These include the position of head of the former administrative unit and acting head of the legal department. Ove was appointed to the post of tax commissioner in 1999.

Ove has passed on his expertise on many occasions as a course lecturer at the tax authority and also as a lecturer at a number of university courses.

Ove joined Skattepunkten AB as a tax consultant in August 2008.

Ove is located in Gävle but can be reached by calling our switchboard in Göteborg +46 (0)31 711 20 70. To e-mail him click on Contact Us.
