Managing Director & Tax Lawyer
Clas Ramert was AB Volvo’s head of taxation for 13 years. Before that, he spent 11 years working in group accounting at Volvo. Clas is a business administration graduate. His 24 years at Volvo’s head office gave him broad experience of financial matters, with a particular focus on tax law. His work centred on Swedish and international corporate structures, transfer pricing and tax litigation.
Background & experience
In addition to standard corporate matters, his responsibilities as head of taxation included advising the tax policy department of the Federation of Swedish Industries on legislative matters. Clas also represented Volvo on the tax committee of the West Sweden Chamber of Commerce.
Clas has worked as a tax consultant and small business owner since 1996, gaining valuable insight into the challenges faced by small businesses. In cooperation with the Swedish Association of Accounting Consultants and the Institute for Auditor Training, he has taught courses on the tax rules for corporate restructuring and employers’ pension costs.
In 2005, he founded the website skatter.se together with an IT specialist.
Clas also frequently represents companies and entrepreneurs in tax litigation. His other activities include serving on the board of the Gothenburg section of Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International.
Clas speaks fluent English and can make himself understood in German and French. His background makes Swedish and international corporate matters a particular area of interest. Clas is the Managing Director of Skattepunkten and works alternately in Gothenburg and Stockholm.
